DROPWEBS
Profile Optimizer

The fields you never filled in are the ones customers look for.

Profile Optimizer reads the business information Google actually exposes for your location and tells you what is complete, what is missing, and what is worth fixing first, with the current value shown as evidence.

The problem

Nobody audits a profile they set up three years ago.

A Google Business Profile is filled in once, usually in a hurry, and then never looked at again. Hours drift out of date. The description still describes a business that has changed. Half the service list was never entered. None of it announces itself, because Google does not tell you what you left blank.

Missing hours send customers to a closed door and produce a one-star review.

An empty description is a wasted paragraph on a page customers genuinely read.

Services and attributes left blank remove you from the filters customers use.

You cannot fix what nobody has listed for you.

What Dropwebs does: Profile Optimizer reviews API-supported business information for your location: categories, description, hours, special hours, services, attributes, website, phone, and address.

Profile Optimizer in Dropwebs listing Google Business Profile fields with their current values and completion status

Completeness

A straight list of what is filled in.

Categories, description, hours, special hours, services, attributes, phone, website and address, each shown with its current value straight from Google. If a field is populated you see what it holds. If it is empty you see that too. There is no score hiding the detail.

A Profile Optimizer finding showing current value, issue, evidence, recommendation and priority

Findings

Current value, the issue, and what to do.

Every finding carries five parts: what the field currently holds, what is wrong with it, the evidence behind that judgement, a specific recommendation, and a priority. You are never told a field is "weak" without being shown the value that made us say so.

Dropwebs marking a Google Business Profile field as not available through the official API

Honesty

Fields Google does not expose stay marked unavailable.

Some things you might want to audit simply are not in the API. Rather than invent a number, Dropwebs labels those explicitly as not available through the Google Business Profile API and moves on. An audit you can trust is worth more than one that looks complete.

How it works

From connection to result.

01

Step 1

Connect Google and select a location.

02

Step 2

Open Profile Optimizer to load current Google fields.

03

Step 3

Review each finding: status, evidence, why it matters, recommended action.

04

Step 4

Update the profile in Google Business Profile, then sync again.

What it gives back

An afternoon of clicking, reduced to a list.

One pass, all fields

Everything the API exposes, checked in a single load instead of tab by tab.

Ordered by impact

Priority tells you which two fixes matter before the other nine.

Evidence attached

Take the finding to a client without re-checking it yourself.

Repeatable

Run it again after you make changes and see what closed.

How to use it

Your first run, step by step.

01

Step 1

Select the location you want to improve.

02

Step 2

Read high-priority gaps first (phone, website, hours, primary category).

03

Step 3

Make changes in Google Business Profile where Google allows editing.

04

Step 4

Return here and sync the location to refresh Dropwebs data.

05

Step 5

This tool does not directly change fields that Google does not expose through its API.

Limitations

What this tool cannot do.

Only fields returned by the Business Information API are audited. Anything Google withholds is labelled unavailable.

Dropwebs reports on your profile. Edits to categories, hours and description are made in Google Business Profile itself.

There is no "profile score" that claims to predict ranking. Findings are hygiene, not a ranking model.

Questions

Straight answers about profile optimizer.

What it does, what it will not do, and where the data comes from.

Does Dropwebs edit my Google profile for me?

Only where the official API supports an action. Many profile edits are done in Google; we show what to fix.

What does Unavailable mean?

Google did not return that field through the APIs we use. We will not invent a value.

Does a complete profile guarantee better ranking?

No, and any tool that says otherwise is guessing. A complete profile helps customers decide and reduces avoidable friction. Google does not publish a completeness ranking factor, so we do not claim one.

Can Dropwebs fix the fields for me?

Profile Optimizer reads and reports. Category, hours and description edits are made in Google Business Profile, which keeps a human in the loop on the details that affect real customers.
